A single pump has just one driving blade is usually installed in an area that has a mixer valve. It needs this valve because the single pump is only able to do one water supply at a time. The twin pump is capable of producing cold water and hot water. If price is an issue then you will want to go with the single impeller, which costs less, but it also does less.

The way that a power shower pump works is that it is hooked up to your water tanks. Most people have a hot and cold water tank in their home. A shower pump then supplies the water to the shower. The pump can adjust the water flow by speeding it up or slowing it down, and this is how the water pressure is created. If you are using the single impeller pump then you must hook one pump up to each water tank, or to the mixing valve, if you have one. The twin impeller can just be hooked up to the mixing valve and it will supply the hot and the cold water to the shower. The twin impeller can also be hooked up to both water tanks at once if there is no mixing valve available.
