Which Color Patio Cushion?
If you are looking for replacement patio cushions for your garden furniture, you will find quite a lot of options available in terms of color. You could, of course, stick with the color of your old cushions but it is a good time to go for a change and then, at least, everyone will know you have new cushions after you spend your hard earned money on them.
You will have a choice of plain or patterned. Plain patio cushions, whatever color they are, give your furniture a simple, streamlined look but as soon as they get a bit grubby or you spill something on them, it will be immediately obvious. If you have a messy family go with a patterned patio cushion!
Once you decide whether you want plain or patterned, you can think about the main color or colors in your cushions. The color and style if your furniture will dictate this in some cases. If your patio set is painted or colored in any shade other than a neutral color you need to make sure you take this into account.
For example, if you have dark green resin furniture, patio cushions with a green stripe in a similar or toning shade would work well or you could use a plain contrast color such as cream. Whatever, you do, don’t go for plain green patio cushions which match your chairs exactly as this would be too much of a good thing.
On the other hand, if you have natural teak or wicker garden furniture, you can choose just about any color under the sun to go with it and it will not look wrong.
When selecting cushions, try and find a pattern or color which will allow you to pick out matching accessories for your patio such as parasols, plant pots, scatter cushions or a throw. This helps give your whole patio a coordinated look by tying your color scheme together.
