Two Uses for Vanity Unit Tables
You may have many motives for upgrading some rooms in your home. With so many homes for sale, making your home stand out requires some ups and extras. Perhaps you just acquired a home that you got a great deal on as a fixer-upper. You may have decided you are not selling your home for a long time and want to make it more pleasurable. For all these remodeling decisions, an easy and important component of redecorating should include upgrading or adding vanity tables. These would be important for any makeover of the bathroom or bedroom of a woman or young daughter.
The vanity unit area is an extremely feminine spot. Usually the lady or daughter of the house sits at their vanity table, conveniently located and designed to store everything they need to make themselves ready to face the day. Most homes have no separate area for these daily feminine rituals–females just use the bathroom. However, a young girl’s typical obsession with just the right make-up and hairdo might mean her room needs to make a space for a vanity table and chair, if only to get all the make up and hair care products out of your bathroom. There are vanity sets for boys that cater to their types of daily grooming needs, but they are not the usual targeted market for these tables. Most homes, especially if there are multiple bathrooms, have one that is much larger and might accommodate a vanity table that in turn can take the pressure off the bathroom cabinetry to contain all the makeup etc.
Bathroom vanity units usually include a small cabinet and a smooth counter for ease of cleaning, since lots of liquids, soaps, powders and lotions will be used around them. A large mirror for the person to use while applying make-up, or for a man to shave, is usually a necessity and frequently sits atop of or as part of the cabinetry. A larger mirror creates a better decorating effect–a person should be able to see their whole upper body in a generous mirror that adds drama and a sense of extra light and space to a room. The size is important so the entire back appearance of a dress, shirt or hairdo is visible, to ensure nothing is amiss in zippers, lint, or stray hair. Safe use of a curling iron requires good visibility and a good-sized mirror.
In the bedroom, vanity tables serve similar purposes as the bathroom vanity tables and counters, but because space may not be as important an issue they tend to be larger. The colors can be more exciting than might be suitable for the bath decor. The colors should match the room and the mirrors should be larger to match the size of the desk. The table ideally is large enough for two people to sit at if possible, and then the mirror should let two people see themselves enough to comfortably to do their beauty rituals. Water may not be available but other necessities for a make-up table, such as lighting and outlets for accessories like hair dryers and curling irons, and holders for curling irons are available to make bedroom vanity tables fun spots, especially for young girls and their friends to sit and primp together.
