Most folks own many pairs of shoes and too often they end up strewn all over the house.  Many people kick their shoes off at the front door and end up tripping over those shoes sooner or later.  Tossing oodles of shoes into the hall or bedroom closet makes finding them later akin to scaling a mountain.  Clearly, shoes need to be organized and easy to find and here we will look at two ways to accomplish this.

A shoe storage bench is a simple way to manage that mess of shoes at the front door.  This handy item is designed like a small bench that can support several pairs of shoes.  A popular example of such a shoe storage bench is one that is approximately two feet wide and has two wire racks on it that can hold up to nine pairs of shoes total; this bench costs about $40.  A storage bench of this size and shape is a trouble-free way to store shoes in the front hallway or anywhere else in home and it allows the wearer to easily see each pair.  The wire racks on this type of shoe storage bench make it ideal for use in a garage or mudroom because air can flow unimpeded around the shoes and help them dry out.  If the shoes are extremely wet and need to drip dry, the wire racks allow for this in these locations, too.

Utilizing the space under a bed is a terrific way to store shoes in the bedroom and there are shoe storage systems made specifically for this.  An under bed shoe storage systems look similar to a large suitcase that is further divided into separate compartments that hold one pair of shoes each.  These storage units usually have a zipper closure to keep the shoes secure and dry and the entire storage unit can be pulled out when in use and slid back under the bed when not.  This helps the bedroom stay tidy and safe by keeping the shoes neatly tucked away.

If you have a lot of shoes and need to organize them, consider using shoe storage systems such as these.  Keeping clutter under control makes life easier.
