Pink is a great color for feminine bedrooms, which unfortunately means that not all of us can indulge in it. Many men, at least those who care about what color the bedroom is, don’t like to see too much pink. However, it is a warm and welcoming color so it can be worth compromising by including the color somewhere, if only in a patterned fabric at your windows.

Pink curtains are typically found in nurseries and small girls rooms where you can indulge in pink all you like, in fact, after a certain age your little girl may insist on everything being pink! You will find pink curtains in every shade from a very pale almost white shade through medium rose pink to the hottest pink you can imagine.

You will find many thin cotton curtains designed for kids’ rooms, but as pink is quite a light color, think about using thicker cotton or lining your curtains if you want your child to be able to sleep especially in the summer months. In fact, blackout lining is a good idea for that reason. And don’t even think about using sheer curtains as they will block very little light.

For a more adult look, check out curtains in smooth micro velvet or linen in deeper colors such as hot pink and also look at more sophisticated styles of curtain such as tab tops or flat panels. This takes away the little girl look. Adding a few sophisticated accessories, also in hot pink such as cushions in rich pleated satin and a pink rug will take you the rest of the way there.

If you are looking for patterned curtains, you will have plenty of choice. A floral pattern with a plain ivory or white background is good as these fabrics usually incorporates a number of colors apart from pink you can use in different ways in your room, tying the whole color scheme together.
