The gooseneck lamp is a very popular style of lamp, probably because it is an extremely versatile lamp. Being able to twist the neck around till the lamp highlights different areas is a tremendous plus when you are working on something detailed, reading or working at your desk. They can even be put to great use in a living room, where they can be directed to spotlight and directly shine on a piece of artwork or a decoration, thus highlighting it. Gooseneck Floor Lamp: Gooseneck floor lamps are made to sit directly on the floor, much like any other floor lamp. The difference with these lamps, however, is that they are very adaptable unlike the regular straight necked shaded floor lamp for example. Bedside lamp: These type of lamps also make great bedside lamps, especially if you share a bed with a partner. It is very easy to direct the light away from the other person sharing your bed, or direct it so intently on what you are reading that it does not bother anyone else at all. You cannot do that with a regular bedside table lamp, thus this really is great to use in the bedroom also.
Gooseneck lamps can be used as a replacement for any other type of lamp and do a terrific job at it too. They are versatile, they look great and they are one of the most practical lamps around in terms of the many different uses they can be put to.
